WHAT
Independent Well Servicing Ltd. supplies service rigs to southeastern
Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba. We are a proud member of CAODC.
We participate completely in Enform’s safety training program
including obtaining our COR certificate in 2008. IWS operates a fleet
of 8 service rigs. All of our rigs are Class II Freestanding Mobile
Doubles. We perform production work, completions, workovers and abandonments
to any depth or complexity.
WHEN
IWS began constructing new service rigs in the fall of 2003. IWS implemented
a plan with a focused aggressive approach and by June of 2004 we were
operating three service rigs. By the spring of 2006 we added Rig #
4 to our fleet. We expanded further with the addition of Rig # 5 in
February of 2008 and Rig # 6 in December 2008. Rig # 7 went to work
in July of 2009 and Rig # 8 was added to our fleet in April 2010.
It is IWS’s business philosophy to manage our growth around
our people at a firm and steady pace. This plan enables us to maintain
high standards with the experience levels of our crews as well as
maintaining high quality equipment. IWS will continue to grow at a
manageable pace, and expand as market conditions dictate.
WHERE
Our office and shop is located at 477 Devonian Street in Estevan,
Saskatchewan. Our location positions us to competitively perform work
in the areas surrounding Estevan, Weyburn and southeast Sask. We are
also available to provide services to various areas in southwestern
Manitoba.
WHY
Independent Well Servicing saw a niche for an “Independently”
owned and operated, quality service rig operation in southeast Saskatchewan.
Our philosophy was to construct some of the most innovative rig packages
in this area, which include double free standing service rigs, large
rig tanks (35.7 m3), 400 hp 127mm x 127mm triplex pumps, cranes mounted
on support units and roomy doghouses with office space. Other features
include electronic sandline counters, electronic pressure gauges,
tank gauges and stroke counters on the pumps.
Combining these innovations with a good management attitude continues
to attract top quality crew members who are the life blood of our
company and our most valuable asset.
LOOKING AHEAD
IWS is proud to provide highly experienced crews, superior equipment
and unparalleled customer service with the latest innovations available.
IWS will continue to grow at a steady but comprehensive pace. Our
vision for the future is continued growth in order to service our
customers as fully as possible. With this growth we can provide room
for advancement and continuing opportunities for our people. We will
embrace new technologies on an ongoing basis and strive to provide
the best possible services to our customers.
